Bratz war died earlier this year, when Mattel ate up the Bratz enterprise along with their bare midriffs. Toy company Spin Master has just introduced the “Liv Dolls” which are supposed to look more like real girls than either of its predecessors and come with changeable wigs and, um, flaws. Bratz and Moxie girlz both come to mind. These dolls are not only fashion dolls but they are fashioned more after real girls, and don’t have the unreal body image portrayed by super model Barbie.
LIV Fashion Dolls come with cute clothes, two wigs, a handbag, boots and red brush. Girls and collectors of all ages will love the extra fashions, pose ability and hair options that the dolls bring. The liv fashion dolls are fun, vibrant and a breath of fresh air to encourage roll playing and relationships. Great detail has gone into the LIV dolls to create a more realistic doll that children want to play with.
Barbie is still popular, and this year Barbie’s Dream Townhouse is decorated throughout in classic Barbie pink, with lifelike intricate details, lights, and sounds. With over 55 pieces and accessories, the house has five fully furnished, deluxe rooms with chandeliers, tiki lights, a fireplace, and a refrigerator that all light up. Barbie and Bratz have gained wide popularity with tween girls. It has been that way for years. There’s even a Barbie doll as Corinne, and she wears a glittery ball gown and sparkling tiara to attend the masquerade ball. To transform into a Musketeer, her beautiful skirt turns into a golden cape, and her tiara becomes a mask to conceal her identity in her quest to save the Prince from royal danger.
Children love receiving an animal they can play with, love and take care of. Parents love the fact that these virtual pets do not have to be fed, taken for walks, or cleaned up on a regular basis. Children learn how to interact while playing and possibly improve or learn language skills. When children learn at an early age about the importance of helping others, this can be beneficial to them as they grow in social environments.
Zhu Zhu pets: What are they and where can they be found? These are two great questions. Zhu Zhu Pets have been selling out all over the United States, but, as seen online at ToysRUs or on Facebook pages, they have finally arrived in in a store near you? ToysRUs.com is hoping to receive another shipment to all stores, by mid-December. Zhu Zhu Pets aren’t even being advertised in fliers because the demand is simply too high. This is the HOT item for holiday shopping, so be prepared to wait in line, pay through the nose, or just buy it come mid-January.
