A Look Into Electrolysis And Laser Hair Removal

Being a woman is so much work with all the effort required in keeping unwanted hair on the body such as those fine yet noticeable hair growing on the area between the nose and upper lip. Waxing may leave burns and shaving will just make the hair thicker. A better and more permanent hair removal is called for in this case. Compared to waxing and shaving, laser hair removal and electrolysis will guarantee better results. You can have skin on the face, legs, underarms, and other parts that is free from hair forever.
You can avail of any of these treatments in spas, salons, or your dermatologist’s clinic. These treatments require the use of specialized machines to be operated by trained aestheticians or technicians. While there are now DIY electrolysis and laser machines being marketed for use at home, complications may happen that may cause you to spend more in the long run. The treatment process involves some amount of pain such as stinging or burning sensations. You may also experience redness or swelling on the treated area for a few hours.
When you undergo laser hair removal, a laser beam will be pointed at the area where you want hair to disappear. The heat from the laser beam will fry up the hair follicles, destroying them completely and the ability of hair to grow back again. However, it is possible that some strands of hair may reappear about a year after the treatment. Compared to electrolysis, laser treatment is cheaper and faster to accomplish since the laser can cover more area and thus remove more hair.
Removing hair can be painfully slow with electrolysis since the treatment is done one hair follicle at a time. During this process, a needle is inserted into a hair follicle and afterwards an electric current is sent through the needle to destroy the follicle. This may be a bit more painful than laser but it is more effective. Hair re-growth is permanently stopped. Because of this, some people would prefer to just stand the pain for future benefit. This treatment requires more sessions and can thus be more expensive than the laser treatment.
In order to decide which of the two is best for you, you can base your decision on either your budget or which part of the body you want to be treated. To avoid the risk of burns which improper use of the laser machine is prone to, facial hair is best treated with electrolysis. For hair on the legs, laser hair removal is a better option since it will do the job much faster. Aside from that, the thicker and darker hair on the legs are easier to remove with laser.
