Pop Up Screen Tent Anytime Anyplace

Sunday, November 7th, 2010

The great outdoors is a wonderful place to relax. You can get away from the hustle and bustle and enjoy the beauties of nature gaining that inner strength that comes from a peaceful place. Unfortunately along with the peace and quiet also come the pests and bugs which can spoil everything. A solution to this problem is the pop up screen tent; it will help you to enjoy the beauties of the outdoors while protecting you from those nasty and sometimes dangerous bugs.

The pop up screen is not limited to outdoor locations miles from nowhere but can be instantly erected at any place where you may need its protection from pests and those harm full sun rays. They are great for at the beach, picnics in the park, on the balcony, or out in the back yard. These screens are small and compact as well as light weight; they can be easily carried anywhere and erected in a matter of minuets. They provide a place to store your gear while swimming, give some needed shade or a clean place to change the baby. You can put a table and chair inside and you instantly have a bug free outdoor dining room, bring along an Intex inflatable mattress and you can take a nap or sleep under the stars without being disturbed by mosquitoes or other unwanted guests.

The pop up screen comes in various sizes ranging from a small two man screen to a larger one capable of holding a six place outdoor table with chairs.  All of them usually come with a waterproof, UV protective roof; some have no floor so you can enjoy the feel of the grass or sand while other models have a sewn in waterproof floor. They all have screen sides for maximum air flow and some also come with additional roll up or roll down water proof sides.

The built in frames are what enable it to pop up so easily. There is one type which has a built in frame similar to an upside down umbrella, you pull on two strings and the frame expands into place in a matter of seconds.  A larger one can have a tensioned wire frame which will pop into place when its straps are released.

Shop around for the pop up screen tent which best suits your needs. They are usually available in many camping stores or the camping section of department stores. Some can be bought directly from the manufacturer online or through an online auction. Find the one best for you and then forget about those troublesome pests.

Make your Camping Trip Comfortable with a High Quality Tent

Friday, October 22nd, 2010

Whether you are an experienced camper or heading off on your first trip, finding the right tent will help get you off on the right foot. As camping grows in popularity, more types of tents are being sold everywhere in sporting goods and discount stores. Deciding which of them is most suited to your needs depends on your budget, how skilled you are at setting up a tent, and how many people will be accompanying you on your trip. Before investing in a tent, be sure to ask yourself the following questions.

How many people will be camping with me? Tents range in size from those that can accompany 2 people to those that can house up to 20. First time campers should note that these occupant limits are based on the assumption that you will be sleeping quite close together. If you will be camping with those that you do not know well, or if you would prefer a bit more space to sleep, buy a tent that can sleep at least 2 more people than you will be bringing. For example, 2 people could sleep in a 6 man tent.

How easy is this model to set up? One of the most difficult parts of camping is setting up the camp itself. If you have never before built a tent or an outdoor gazebo, you may spend the first few hours of your trip attempting to do so. Customer reviews are the best source on information on how easy a given model is to set up. In some cases, you can even find the full instructions online, which can give you a sense of the amount of work involve.

How much am I willing to spend? This is the last question that a customer should ask him or herself before going shopping. They range in price from around $50 to at least several hundred.

By answering all the above questions before you start shopping, you can be sure that the tent that you ultimately buy will more than fit your needs.
