Decorating with Black Leather

Black leather can be the base for a lot of different craft projects. Decorating with black leather really adds an opulent texture to your room. You don’t have to use it on your furniture. Instead, you can just paint it onto your accent pieces. If you’re worried about this being too expensive or difficult to care for then just go with a quality vinyl to cut down costs.
This is kind of a heavier material so it’s not really going to be suitable for window treatments. However, this can really be a way to get a very sophisticated look in a teenagers room or just turn it into a contemporary master bedroom. In this case, you can just go with subtle gray or black drapes made from a microsuede or even a faux silk. Then you can cover a wooden cornice box with this material. The blending of textures is really going to make a dark color scheme a lot more sophisticated.
This also has a place in retro design. You’ll often find vinyl used on a lot of chair covers, especially if it’s a chrome chair. In this case, you can just update it a little bit by recovering the seat with a more contemporary color of leather. Then go with more modern furniture like a white bookcase or a white wardrobe.
You can really turn this into a headboard. Upholster a lot of different panels with this fabric. This is going to give a contemporary touch to your space. The great thing about this is that you can make it really fit within your room. You can even cover an entire wall. This will really compliment a modern platform bed while still giving it more importance.
This is also something that you can use just on your accent pieces in the room. You could just cover plain cardboard boxes with this. Then use them as storage solutions. You can even add in labels and brackets to the front to finish off the look. This can be an inexpensive way to really organize your office.
