Light up your world with solar lights

The idea of storing the bright light of the mighty sun and using it at night is indeed a very old one, thought of by many individuals before it was finally made a reality. Since then, solar lights have gone through many advancements in technology and what we have today is a smart generation of solar lights capable of storing the sunlight in abundance and using them to light up the night sky.
The working methodology of solar lights is fairly simple. The solar panel installed on top of the solar light absorbs the sun light falling on it throughout the day. This energy is used in charging the batteries during daytime. In the evening when the sunlight has faded, a photo cell switches on the solar lights to light up the area, which switches off automatically at the break of dawn. In addition, there you have it, a brightly lit solar powered light that can be used for the purpose of garden lights, or for lighting any other area of your house at night. The solar panels of today are much more compact and efficient, and utilize the bright LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes) to use their stored energy. The rechargeable batteries installed have also come of age and require replacement only after 2-3 years.
Looking at how simply solar lights work, it really seems strange to see this method of lighting still not used as the principal source of lighting around the globe. In an era where the demand for green sources of energy is reaching its peak, why are people still lagging in bracing this vast source of energy available in abundance throughout the day? It is entirely up to the masses now to change their consumption patterns and adopt this amazing and cheap source of energy in their everyday life.
